"Throw it on the pyre, Love
all burdens and uneasiness
Woven willow basket
a borrowed vessel
light the tinder
an' let him rest
sword gripped tightly to his chest
herbs and flowers encircle
his final rest
strike the flint
and let it go
All is forgotten when the ashes fall
the wind swept our sorrows away
the last ember has gone out..."
Breaking Free, A Shadow work field guide
"Once you know you’re loved, once you know that you are love and how powerful you are, you’ll never have need for anything else outside of yourself. That, dear reader, is freedom. Dear gods, what a secret, what a risky thing to unearth, because if you need nothing outside of you, you can’t be controlled or manipulated anymore. You also will never “need” someone outside of yourself to fill your cup. You’ll actually be free to pursue the life you desire, unashamedly, and love others freely without attachment to an outcome. Oh wow, this is most certainly quite dangerous, isn’t it?
Are you ready, dear reader?
I’m hoping by the end of this book that I can call you dear friend. C’mon, it’s time now, I’ll walk with you…"
I truly enjoyed this book. It was hard to put down once I got into it. I found myself captivated with the characters in Beloved and I could visualize myself in their world. Great read.

This is a captivating book you won't want to put down! The author does an incredible job of helping the reader connect to the characters in the story, and you'll feel personally invested in their lives. Beloved is a story of love and faith, that comes with exciting surprises along the way.

I found this book very charming. As a mother of a deceased special needs child I find it refreshing to see her mother share this special little angel with the world. What a cute idea. This will most definitely encourage other parents of special needs children.

"The Introduction really grabs the reader by the brain...

Author Sara St. John sent me book three of this series, because she said it is the 'least mushy' of the three, and we all know I am not into "mush" ;) However, this has me wanting to start from the beginning and read the whole series, although this one is perfect as a stand alone.
The book opens up with Michael telling you he is at the "Midwest school for the gifted", and he certainly is gifted, although others don't see it that way.
Except for his Grandma, who is a true treasure.
The story continues with him telling you about his life and adventures, and his relationship with God.
This is a book you will read slowly and hold close to your heart, as it reminds us that our relationship with God, does not mean we will have an easier path, but we do have HIM to lean on.
I highly recommend this book/series!
